SAUCY SQUID SCREEN

The design of a sunscreen system for a creative studio workspace in a readapted concrete industrial building is inspired by the anatomy of a squid. Combining the material properties of elastic fabric, recycled industrial pipe fasteners and plastic strips, the sunscreen system stretches and morphs with varying porosity to screen off solar glare while creating a delightful and sensuous visual experience for users of the workspace.
